CAMADERRY PRESS LOGO AND BRANDING
THE BRIEF
Camaderry Press is a new publishing company created by author Keith Ryan to publish his first book ‘Blue Star Rising‘. He decided to create his own company to facilitate this and the publication of future titles. The name Camaderry Press is derived from the Camaderry mountain in Wicklow near where the author lives. He wanted a modern brand mark that would be easily transferrable and recognisable with and without the logotype.
THE PROCESS
Taking the shape of Camaderry mountain as the inspiration I developed a brandmark based on the gentle slopes. This was encased within a circular icon to enhance the symbol of strength and also to signify sunrise and sunset on the mountain. The colour pallete is influenced by the light and shade on the mountain and inherent in the characters of his books. This brand mark is balanced by a modern capitalised font.
